I modified this recipe from another one I had found. I made it sweeter, creamier and richer tasting – you’re welcome. These truffles are perfect for holidays or in paper boxes as little gifts. In fact, when I make them, they tend to go missing very quickly and conveniently, my family never seems to know anything about it.
1 cup raw cacao powder
1/2 medium ripe avocado
4 tsp. coconut oil
2 tsp. raw nut butter (I’ve used almond and macadamia, and both are delicious)
2-3 tsp. raw honey or agave
1/4 cup goji berries
8 sayer dates
Add all ingredients to a food processor. Process until the mixture is uniform and creamy and forms a ball. Roll into truffles and freeze. Coat truffles with cacao powder, shredded coconut, or chopped nuts. Keep frozen until all the delicious raw goodness is enjoyed. These treats store for 4-5 days in the freezer.
